Serenity Now!

I have spent the weekend doing deep breathing exercises and seeking my inner serenity. Why do you ask? My sister is coming for a visit!!!!

Yes, yes, I love my sister--I'll get that out of the way for all of you strangers who might find this offensive. But anyone who knows me and my life knows that a visit with my sister is always stressful. And weird. And far too long. Suffice it to say I will have a lot of material to entertain one and all after she leaves. In just 123 short hours.

It doesn't matter that she isn't even here yet--I am still counting down.

On the plus side of this, I will certainly lose more weight this week as I will be going to the gym EVERY SINGLE NIGHT!

Stay tuned...

Growing up, I used to wish I had a sister (I have a brother). I think I actually asked my mother once or twice if she could get me a sister. But now that I have sisters-in-law, I'm not so sad about the brother.

And after hearing your wedding re-cap, I can't wait to hear about your sis!

How did your WW meeting go?

I was down 3.2 lbs--I couldn't believe it.

Good for you!! and I can relate. I have a brother, but I don't like him. If he visited I would die. I guess it's good he lives in California.

Hausfrau! Good for you! I have somehow GAINED five pounds this summer (how on earth does anyone put on a swimsuit three times a week, go out in public in it, and still GAIN weight?). But whatever--is all good.

Soon you will need new jeans AGAIN. Hooray!

Did your sister ever show up?

BTW, I get 22 WW points per day. I went out for ice cream. Guess how many points it was worth? 21. Damn.

Your reaction is how I imagine mine would be if my sister ever came for a visit.

HAHAHAHAHAHA! I make myself laugh.

Good for you on the 3.2 lbs! I have FINALLY gotten the scale to budge a bit after a couple days of WWish eating. And of course the nonstop exercise.

I can't wait to hear about the visit. If she's staying in the room with the computer, be sure to call. From the bathroom, if you have to. Tell her you need to take the longest shower of your life.

To shave your legs---- HA!

Okay, guys. MH saw my post, turned on the shower, and actually called me from her closet, hissing something like, "heeelp meeee."

So, she's going nuts. She was trying to write something in response to Mary P., but her sister walked in and she had to snap of the computer. So, I told her that I would let you all know that she'll be back in a few days, full of fun stories.

Let's all have a martini in honor of Misfit Hausfrau. Who could probably use a few martinis of her own right now.

Love ya, baby.

I love my sister so much. We talk on the phone almost everyday. The problem is when she come to visit (400 mile drive), she brings her laundry... no shit. We refer to her as AKA "The Laundry Whore". I guess we all have faults.

I'm betting about now that Hausfrau WISHES her sister had just brought her laundry . . . SNMartha, am I right?

Come back, Hausfrau, we miss you!

And the margaritas are delicious.

Lord, I'm sure laundry would be a blessing. From they way it sounded, though, it doesn't seem as though it was so much her sister, but her nephews that were making her crazy. THen again, who the heck knows.

I'll report more once I get another call from The Closet.

By the way, I have nothing to blog about right now. So, I'll just mooch space on your blogs, girls.

I wish I had enough interesting things for my own blog, but I love being able to share with you all on yours. Miss you MH, hurry back!

Hausfrau, someone found my site today by Googling 'misfit hausfrau'. How fun is that!

I miss you--come back!
