You Know You're Back in the Midwest When...

...a major interstate closes down for the entire day because of cows .

Did you find the highway closing as amusing as I did? Hubby and I laughed about it this morning, both thanking our lucky stars that neither of us has to travel downtown ever again for work! :)

When we lived in Columbus (lo these many years ago) there was a chicken-related closing.

God I love the midwest.

We had interstate closed in Philly for ducks, but it was only in one direction and only for about an hour.

Don't you just love it when nature messes with people so effectively? Last year (two years ago?) we had a moose running around downtown Ottawa for a few hours. They closed off several blocks before they caught her.

You brought back such good memories. When I lived out in Wisconsin I was almost a half hour late getting home because a farmer was herding his livestock across a road.

When I bustled through the door and explained it to my hubby, he didn't even bat an eye. I guess the same had happened to him a number of times. Better cows than a car accident any day.
